If Friends Were Flowers

I guess you can't link 2 cards from the same post so here's the second card I made for the CAS-ual Friday challenge. I used Glossy Accents for the hair and the bouquet of flowers is glittered-I just couldn't get it to show up in the pic.

You Rock

The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays this week was to make a 4 x 9 card. I love making this size card but tend to get in the A2 rut. So I made a couple of cards while I was at it. The first one is a thank you card. I used a digital background printed on card stock, stamped and colored the instruments, made the rug from jute and used stickers for the sentiment.

Here's the link to the CAS-ual Friday site if you'd like to play along.

So many challenges, so little time.

There are so many card challenges I wanted to try this week but alas, I'm off to NC for a visit with family. Can't wait to see mom! Woo hoo! I know we'll hit the beach at least one day. Here's a pic of my daughter and her cousin the last trip we made.

Neutral Colored Cards

I made these cards for a challenge at the Scrapbook Expressions blog to use neutral colors. The pretty Bo Bunny papers really did all the work for me.

Foiled again!

Made these for a challenge to use aluminum foil at Scrapbook Expressions.

The Daddy Of Them All

A LO from a night at Cheyenne Frontier Days a few years ago. It was POURING rain during the day. I couldn't even get the camera out. Just in time for the evening concert, the rain stopped. Done for the Everyday is a Holiday challenge at Scrapbook Expressions.

So Sweet

I made this card for a new to me card challenge site, CAS-ual Fridays. Clean and simple cards. That sounds like a good fit for me. I always admire how striking some of the simplest cards are. Here's a link to their challenge if you want to play.

Edger Pocket Card

Done for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge to create a pocket using edger dies.

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2011/07/make-it-monday-23-pockets-with-edger-dies.html

I used an edger punch instead because I wanted  frilly edges. I made the pocket, folded the edges over, then added embossed papers to it to get the look I wanted. I'll stamp a sentiment on the inside when I use this card-it should work for birthdays or weddings. I stuck a couple of ticket stubs from my "stuff to include on scrapbook pages" stash to show the pocket.

You never know....

I had an extra alien just laying around. lol

Thank You Cards

My husband needed a card for a friend that took him on a fishing trip. I find masculine cards hard to do, but like how this turned out.

This one is for my son's summer school teacher. She is such a positive, caring teacher. Wyatt really enjoyed her class.

Hello card

Made for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge, Multi-Color Stamping With Ink Refills and for the Scrapjazz July Challenge of using a paper pieced image. I used yellow, orange and red refills to stamp the flowers. It is a cool technique. Here's a how-to link.

18th Birthday card

The day I gave this card to a newly minted 18 year old was the same day that a Charlie Chaplin video was the Google Doodle of the day. It was the first thing the birthday boy said to me. I think we were the only 2 people at the party who knew...or cared.

Papertrey Ink masking technique challenge

I love PTI products! They have Make It Monday challenges and this week's challenge was a 2 step masking technique. It was a fun challenge. Here's the link- http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2011/06/make-it-monday-21-polaroid-2-step-masking.html

Airmen Cards

A friend of mine is organizing a summer card drive for deployed Airmen. I made a few cards.

Father's Day Cards

The computer card is my favorite because my husband is always giving my son a hard time over wasting time playing games.

Baby Cards

My take on the onsie cards.

General Use Cards

It's nice to have a few all occasion cards on hand.

Graduation Cards

We had several graduations this year-middle school, high school and college. I didn't take pix of all the cards I made, but here are a couple.

Shoot

Made this card for a challenge to use a die cut on a card. Now I need to miss the birthday of someone not opposed to guns. Not so tough in my neck of the woods.
